Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is finalising the preparations for this weekend’s event. Now it is the turn of the World Superbike Championship, which will be holding the ninth round of the year. The second edition of the Hyundai N Catalunya WorldSBK Round promises to be a real show, which thousands of fans will be able to enjoy for the first time, as the pandemic did not allow the public to enter the 2020 edition.
The desire for WorldSBK is there, and all lovers of motorcycling and of the championship in particular can enjoy three days of track activity (17, 18 and 19 September) at maximum performance, with riders such as Álvaro Bautista, Jonathan Rea, Scott Redding and Ana Carrasco riding on the Catalan tarmac. The production-derived bikes will run a total of seven races in the WorldSBK, WorldSSP and WorldSSP 300 classes, as well as more races of the Yamaha bLU cRU Cup, which is not part of the World Championship.
Tickets available
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Circuit website from €49.90. These tickets are sold as 3-day tickets. Junior tickets (ages 8 to 16) have a 50% discount, while children under the age of 7 get in for free. In addition, attendees can choose between Grandstands B, G and C to watch the event.
The Parade Lap: A unique experience
On Saturday afternoon, after the first day of races, fans will be able to do a lap of honour around the Circuit on a motorbike, guided by the safety car. This is a unique opportunity to ride around a World Championship track just a few minutes after real world champions have ridden on the same asphalt. The activity has limited places and has an additional price of €9.99. You are allowed to ride with a companion.
