Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has today put tickets on sale for the Catalunya WorldSBK Round, the Catalan round of the World Superbike Championship to be held from 5 to 7 May. Tickets are available through the websites www.circuitcat.com and www.catsbk.com.
Unlike other events, Catalunya WorldSBK allows the public to enter the paddock. In addition, the event has a programme of very attractive activities such as the Pit-Walk (visit to the pit-lane with riders’ signatures included) or the Parade Lap, where attendees can do a lap of the track with their own bike behind the official safety car of the championship. As a novelty, in 2023 exclusive Grid Passes will also be on sale, which allow access to the starting grid formation on the main straight of the Circuit, just before the races start.
The action on the track is guaranteed with up to seven races among the three categories of the championship for modified production bikes: Superbike, Supersport and Supersport300.
The on-track rivalry will be marked by a continuation of the three-way battle between defending champion Álvaro Bautista (Ducati), Toprak Razgatlıoğlu (Yamaha) and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki). But there will also be newcomers to the championship, such as former MotoGP™ riders Danilo Petrucci and Remy Gardner; and regular riders such as Scott Redding, Iker Lecuona, Alex Lowes, Tom Sykes and Xavi Vierge.
Last year’s Catalunya WorldSBK Round was attended by 29,898 people.
