The CatalanGP pronmises non-stop entertainment

The Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP promises non-stop entertainment

Fans will be able to enjoy all kinds of activities during the three days of the motorcycling event. From the classic Pit Walk and Open Track to the entertainment areas (Kids Zone, Green Zone, Fan Zone and Monster Energy Area), not forgetting the Hero Walk and the Riders Fan Parade.

MotoGP

In keeping with tradition, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has prepared another edition of the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP™ with the focus on the fans. It has done so by designing a programme with multiple proposals and activities distributed all over the venue, promising constant fun on 24, 25 and 26 May.

THE FUN ZONES

Kids Zone

As usual, there will be an area dedicated to children in the Crater Forest. There will be activities such as a cap decoration workshop and a tattoo workshop, a maze with giant balls, wooden games and a motorbike scalextric track. Children will be able to meet up in this area on Friday and Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (with a midday break from 2 to 3 p.m.) and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Green Zone

The Green Zone, located next to the Kids Zone, will once again host activities reflecting the importance of caring for nature. Therefore, visitors will be able to find an artistic installation of mirrored cubes reflecting the most biodiverse area of the Circuit, as well as the Sustainability Meeting Point, a place to learn more about the Circuit’s work on sustainability, open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fan Zone

Behind the Main Grandstand of the Circuit, the Fan Zone will be set up, a regular meeting point for fans where the commercial area of the Circuit will be displayed. Official merchandising products of the World Cup riders will be available for purchase as a souvenir of the event.

Monster Energy Area

Located behind Grandstand B, Monster will once again have its own area where to show its magic and charms. The area has its own programme of activities, including FMX shows, visits from some of the riders sponsored by the energy drink brand and the Sprint Race podium on Saturday. In this space there will also be a giant screen to follow the activity on the track.

THE USUAL CLASSICS

Pit Walk

On Thursday afternoon, from 4:.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. to be precise, the pit lane of the Circuit will open its doors again for fans to access this magical place from where they can have a close look at the garages, as well as everything that is going on inside them. As usual, some of the World Championship riders are expected to be present to greet their fans. As a novelty, there will be a capacity control to guarantee the best experience for all attendees by means of a free invitation that can be downloaded from the Circuit website. These invitations are already sold out.

Open Track

The final highlight of the Grand Prix will be the possibility to access the track after the end of the MotoGP™ race, the last one to be held on Sunday. This will allow attendees to be part of the podium celebration, as they will be able to go to the Main Straight or any other point of the World Championship track. In order to do so, several accesses will be opened in the public areas.

MotoGP™ FAVOURITES

Hero Walk

The Hero Walk will allow riders to pass through a designated area at the paddock entrance on both Saturday and Sunday mornings to chat with fans, take photos, etc. On Saturday only the Moto3™ and Moto2™ riders will pass through from 11.45 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., while on Sunday the MotoGP™ representatives will do so from 10.20 a.m. to 10.40 a.m. The Hero Walk is an activity reserved for Circuit Members, whose group will receive by e-mail the rules to be able to enjoy this experience.

Tissot Sprint Podium

Since last year, the MotoGP™ World Championship has held a sprint race on Saturday, known as the Tissot Sprint. This shorter but equally or even more exciting race will hold for the second year in a row its podium ceremony in a place within reach of the fans, on the stage of the Monster Energy zone (located behind Grandstand B). This way, the three podium guests will be just a few metres away from the audience at the Circuit.

Riders Fan Parade

On Sunday at 10 a.m. the Riders Fan Parade will take place, an activity focused on riders and fans. This initiative, which will be held shortly before the start of the races on Sunday, will allow MotoGP™ riders to ride around the track on a trailer to greet and cheer up the Circuit’s attendants. Along the route, the riders will stop in front of grandstands where there may be fan clubs and will be interviewed.
