Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has prepared a mobility plan on the occasion of the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona (15-17 November), which aims at ensuring the greatest possible fluidity in the access to the venue. As usual, the use of public transport is recommended, as it is the most sustainable and also avoids traffic jams and delays.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Free shuttle bus service from Montmeló Station to the Circuit
As always, the Circuit recommends the use of public transport to reach its facilities. For the occasion, both Rodalies de Catalunya and Sagalés will offer a wide range of services. In order to reinforce and encourage the use of public transport, the Circuit will provide a free bus service from Montmeló Station to the track. This bus will stop in front of Montmeló train station. It will travel through gates 6, 7, 1 and 2 and will return to the station.
Train offer (Renfe)
On 16 and 17 November Rodalies de Catalunya will offer 28,000 additional seats on the R2 and R2 Norte lines. To facilitate the mobility of the fans, Rodalies will increase the usual offer on Sunday, between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to get to the circuit, and from 3:00 p.m. for the return from Montmeló both on Saturday and Sunday. The established schedule ensures an average frequency of 15 minutes each way on the Montmeló-Barcelona connection at the times when the largest crowds are expected.
Bus offer (Sagalés)
Autocares Sagalés also offers its services to attend the Grand Prix. The buses will leave from Barcelona city centre, from the North Bus Station (Estació de Nord, C/Ali Bei, 80). This location allows connection with the Metro and Rodalies Catalunya train services, as the station is located next to Arc de Triomf. The ticket price is €25. The service will be available from 8:00 a.m. on all three days of the event, departing every 20 minutes on Friday, every 10 minutes on Saturday and every 5 minutes on Sunday. Bookings can be made at Sagalés (tel. 902 13 00 14 / www.sagales.com).
PRIVATE VEHICLE – PARKING AND ACCESS SYSTEM
Free motorbike parking
All attendees who wish to access the Circuit by motorbike will be able to park for free in a designated area. Specifically, it will be parking H1 and H3. This parking are does not require any previous accreditation or management, but will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. It is important to point out that places are limited and that access to the inside of the venue can be gained on foot through any of the gates, regardless of the Grandstand or General Admission area the buyers have.
Public car park with online purchase
To access the Circuit by car, it is necessary to have previously purchased a car parking ticket. Without this ticket, it will not be possible to access the car park. Parking tickets can be purchased through the official ticket platform of the Circuit. Space is limited. There is only one parking area available, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As in the case of motorbikes, it will be possible to enter through any of the gates on foot, regardless of the parking place.
Traffic arrangements
In order to speed up the entry of vehicles to the Circuit, the access to the venue will be reinforced on roads such as AP7, C17 and C35 with controls to guide parking users, staff and other groups, preventing the entry and diverting the traffic of those who do not have parking accreditation or personal accreditation for the event. For the exit, all roads will have the function of evacuating the sports venue, preventing vehicles from entering it. The exit operation will be activated on Saturday and on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
