The FIM MotoE™ World Cup will set foot for the first time on Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next season. The scheduled date for this debut will be on 4, 5 and 6 June 2021, during the staging of the Gran Premi de Catalunya de MotoGP™.
Although the e-bikes have already been included as part of the MotoGP™ World Championship for the past two years, this will be the first time that the Catalan racetrack will be host to one of the MotoE™ rounds. To be precise, it will be the third round of the year.
In addition to being an example of a zero-emission engine, the FIM MotoE™ World Cup -as opposed to the premier class of motorcycling- is a single-make championship, thus ensuring equal conditions for all. In these two years, the riders Matteo Ferrari and Jordi Torres have started to write in the book of a history which soon will include Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
