Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has designed a Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP™ conceived for the fans, who will be at the heart with multiple proposals and activities distributed all over the venue. From 1 to 3 September, the motorcycling event promises strong emotions and plenty of entertainment.
The fun zones
Kids Zone
As usual, there will be an area dedicated to children in the Crater Forest. There will be activities such as a mountain bike circuit, archery, sticker workshops, cardboard motorbike workshops and face-painting. There will also be a games circuit in the forest with psychomotor activities. Children will be able to meet up in this area on Saturday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm (with a break at midday) and on Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm.
Green Zone
The Green Zone, located next to the Kids Zone, will once again host activities reflecting the importance of caring for nature. Therefore, visitors will be able to find an artistic installation of mirrored cubes reflecting the most biodiverse area of the Circuit (Circuit loves nature); as well as the Sustainability Meeting Point, a place to learn more about the Circuit’s work in the field of sustainability.
Fan Zone
Behind the Main Grandstand of the Circuit, the Fan Zone will be set up, a regular meeting point for fans where the commercial area of the Circuit will be displayed. There, official merchandising products of the riders of the World Championship will be available for purchase, in order to get a souvenir of the event.
Monster Energy Area
Located behind Grandstand B, Monster will once again have its own area where to show its magic and charms. The area has its own programme of activities, including FMX shows, visits from some of the riders sponsored by the energy drinks brand and the Sprint Race podium celebration on Saturday. There will also be a giant screen to follow the activity on the track.
The evergreen classics
Pit Walk
On Friday afternoon, from 5.50 pm to 7.10 pm to be precise, the pit lane of the Circuit will open its doors again for fans to access the pit lane, a magical place from where they can watch the garages up close, as well as everything that is going on inside them. As usual, some of the World Championship riders are expected to be present to greet their fans. As a novelty, there will be capacity control by groups to ensure the best experience for all attendees.
Open Track
The final highlight of the Grand Prix will be the possibility of access to the track after the end of the MotoGP™ race, the last one to be held on Sunday. This will allow attendees to be part of the podium celebration, as they will be able to go to the Main Straight or any other point of the World Championship track. To do so, all accesses in the public areas will be opened. After the podium ceremony, international DJ Andrea Oliva will entertain the evening with a 30-minute set, which will also feature the winner of the CatalanGP.
What’s new this season
Hero Walk
The Hero Walk will allow riders to pass through a limited space at the entrance to the paddock on both Saturday and Sunday morning to talk to fans, take pictures, etc. On Saturday, only MotoGP™ riders will pass through there, while on Sunday the representatives of the three categories will do so: MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™. The Hero Walk is an activity reserved for Circuit Members, whose group will receive by e-mail the rules to be able to enjoy this experience.
Riders Fan Parade
The Riders Fan Parade, an activity focused on riders and fans, will take place on Sunday at 10 a.m. This initiative, which will be held shortly before the start of the races on Sunday, will allow MotoGP™ riders to ride around the track on a trailer to greet and cheer up the Circuit’s attendants. Along the route, the riders will stop in front of grandstands where there may be fan clubs and will be interviewed.
Tickets available at www.circuitcat.com
The Circuit has an attractive offer of tickets to attend the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP™. Starting at €72, fans can enjoy three days of competition on the track and many proposals outside it. In addition, some of the riders of the motorcycling world championship have reserved areas for their fan clubs in different grandstands, a highly recommended option to experience many emotions.
