Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has prepared a festival of fun for fans to make the most of their experience during the FORMULA 1 AWS GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2023. With a sporting programme that exceeds all expectations, there will also be proposals off the asphalt divided into different focuses of attention. Activities for all ages and tastes to remember the event as a unique and unforgettable experience.
HIGHLIGHTED AREAS
Fan Zone
The Fan Zone will be located in the public area behind the Main Grandstand and will host activities such as eSports simulators, the pit stop challenge, selfie recreation with drivers, augmented reality pit lane portals, wind tunnel simulation, podium recreation, and a championship trophy display, as well as a single-seater, among others.
The stage will also host the appearence of the drivers competing during the weekend.
Green Zone – Kids Zone
Both the Green Zone and the Kids Zone will be located in the Crater Forest area.
In the Green Zone, visitors will be able to find an artistic installation of mirrored cubes reflecting the most biodiverse area of the Circuit (Circuit loves nature), as well as a biodiversity workshop to make badges. There will also be a Biciscalextric for adults and children, a scalextric powered by bicycles.
The youngest children will be able to carry out a recycled car workshop, creating single-seaters from recycled materials; and there will also be a circuit in the forest, with different psychomotor skills proposals.
Pelouse Jove
The Pelouse Jove will also feature a variety of events. There will be a stage with a giant screen on which artists such as Lolo & Sosaku; DJ Buenavista; Bluma Beat and Lau Neve will perform. These artists will be passing through the space between Saturday and Sunday throughout the day. The space will also have a sculpture in the form of a single-seater on which the urban art couple PUM will be creating a three-dimensional work of art, as well as a make-up and manicure area.
Food Fest
In the area behind the Stadium, specifically in the former heliport, the Circuit will set up a large gastronomic area with tables for the attendees to rest under the shade. In that location there will also be an artistic installation emulating the wake left by F1 cars running at top speed, made with fabrics in height.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Fans can once again be thrilled by various proposals that allow them to be closer than ever to their idols and the F1 racing sphere, with access to exclusive areas such as the track itself or the Pit Lane.
The Pit Walk
For a total of two hours, fans will be able to walk through one of the epicentres of GP activity, the place where the teams’ garages are located, as well as the race cars. A unique opportunity to visit the Pit Lane with a completely different aesthetic, dressed in its best to host the greatest motor racing show in the world.
It will be held on Thursday 1 June from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. All those who have purchased their FORMULA 1 AWS GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2023 tickets will be able to access the walkabout, whether they have a General Admission or Pelouse Jove ticket or any of the Grandstand tickets.
Open Track
Once the F1 race is over on Sunday, fans will be able to step onto the Catalan tarmac just a few minutes after their idols have done so in the single-seaters. Several gates will be opened around the track for those who wish to leave their grandstands and come down to the track. The fastest and closest to the main straight will be able to watch the podium ceremony of the Spanish Grand Prix, as well as see everything that happens at the end of an event in the World Championship teams’ pits just a few metres away.
