Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has launched today, at Casa Amatller, the heart of Modernisme and epicentre of Passeig de Gràcia, the Formula 1 Barcelona Fan Festival 2024. The city centre will play host to a series of activities to celebrate the arrival of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship™ to Catalonia and bring F1 closer to the people of Barcelona.
The Formula 1 Barcelona Fan Festival will take place from 15 to 22 June in the city centre of Barcelona, while the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2024 will be held from 21 to 23 June at the Circuit.
The Fan Festival will feature various proposals such as the Formula 1® Barcelona Fan Village, located in Plaça Catalunya. There, fans will be able to find F1 cars on display, replicas of a pit box, a podium and a trophy, as well as pit stop simulation activities, merchandising shops selling official F1 products and much more. Plaça Catalunya will also have a stage with a giant screen with entertainment, activities and live coverage of the Grand Prix qualifying session. There will be concerts every day in the evening as well.
Moreover, fans will be able to enjoy Formula 1® Live Barcelona, which comes with a real highlight: the Road Show. On the evening of 19 June, F1® will speed through the streets of Barcelona in what promises to be a memorable show. From 6 p.m. onwards, some of the current F1 drivers will be driving their cars along the Paseo de Gracia and other emblematic places in Barcelona. Once the Road Show is over, the Fans Forum will be held on the Fan Village stage (from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.), featuring F1® drivers, entertainment and live music.
The launch of the F1® Barcelona Fan Festival was attended by the Minister of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya and President of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Roger Torrent, the Barcelona City Councillor for Sports, David Escudé, the Secretary General of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya and CEO of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Oriol Sagrera, and the Head of Race and Market Development at Formula 1, Kate Hodgkinson.
