Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, together with the driver Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) has organised a charity tour around the Circuit during the Formula One Test Days, on Thursday 9 March. The activity will provide the chance to meet the F1 driver, to attend a speech on Formula 1 by journalist Josep Lluis Merlos and to visit the Circuit facilities.
Only a reduced group of 22 people will be able to enjoy this unique and at the same time supportive experience that will cost 100 euros. The benefits from the charity tour with Carlos Sainz will be allocated in full to Wings for Life, a non-profit organisation that raises funds for research work on spinal cord injuries.
The charity guided tour will start at 13h with a tour around the spaces that are usually restricted to the public, such as the briefing room or the podium. Then, participants will proceed to the VIP room located in the third floor of the Control Tower to attend a speech on Formula 1 by journalist Josep Lluís Merlos and a Meet&Greet with Carlos Sainz during which they will be able to take pictures, ask for autographs and talk to the Toro Rosso driver. The activity will finish with a tour around the paddock and a lap around the service tracks of the Circuit to watch the activity of the F1 cars on the Circuit track up close.
It will be a special chance during which fans will be able to meet the driver Carlos Sainz, see the ins and outs of Formula 1, the Circuit facilities and at the same time collaborate for a cause.
