The FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA EMIRATES 2018 will start on Thursday, 10 May with the expected autograph signing session that will have a new format this year. The start will be given with a much more calm and organised experience. So far, fans were able to get closer to the World Championship drivers during the Pit Lane Walkabout, which is also carried out on Thursday afternoon. The new location chosen is the stage of the Fan Zone, behind the Main Grandstand at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
All drivers of the FIA Formula One Championship will be passing by the Fan Zone from 16.00 to 18.00h, and the teams will provide for photos, postcards and many other products for fans to be able to have a signed souvenir. More nearness, more fun and more excitement meeting some of the best drivers of world up close and having the chance to get a souvenir from any of them. The Pit Lane Walkabout will be held as usual, for all those wishing to see the pit garages and the single-seaters before getting started; a unique chance in a setting, which is usually hardly accessible.
Another opportunity to get F1 closer to fans will be available on Saturday 12 May. It will be another chance to enjoy with the main characters of the Grand Prix, through the Fan Forum. Again, the stage of the Fan Zone will welcome some of the World Championship drivers from 18.00 to 19.00h after the official qualifying sessions. The attendants will have the chance to make questions and interact with them, who will be sharing their feelings before facing the race on Sunday. The presence of Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz is expected, for the delight of local fans.
