Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will include a great novelty in next year’s calendar. The 2018 sport season will be featuring the Ferrari Challenge, one of the most prestigious GT championship of the highest level in the world of car racing. The single-make championship will be celebrating its 25th anniversary, a milestone that speaks for itself. This great show will take place on 15 and 16 September.
The Ferrari Challenge is divided into three continental series: Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, the latter being the most recent inclusion, as it started back in 2011. The European tour, which started back in 1993, does already know the Catalan racetrack, and they will be coming back next year after 20 years. The date at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will be the last round out of six, as the closing round of the season before the World Final, which gathers the top entrants of the three series.
Spectators will be able to enjoy some of the most attractive and fastest units of the Italian make, such as the Ferrari 488 Challenge or the 458 Challenge EVO. The participants, who will be divided into three different classes (Pirelli Trophy, Pirelli Amateur Trophy and Shell Cup), will provide for races filled with overtaking, thrill and fun, all coloured in Ferrari red. It will be an event worth witnessing.
