Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Montmeló) – Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya opened yesterday its sales channels for the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2023 (2-4 June) and did so to coincide with the celebration of Black Friday, offering fans a 25% discount on a selection of grandstands (Superfan and Excellence). The result of the launch has exceeded all expectations, with more than 40,000 tickets sold to end users and to agencies and tour operators in the first hours after the tickets went on sale, both in grandstands with promotion and in seats without discount.
The great response from the public shows that, once again this year, the Barcelona track could continue with the trend of 2022, when the ‘sold-out’ sign was put up for the Formula 1® Grand Prix. After two seasons of intense work and numerous significant changes in its facilities, this fact shows the step forward Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is taking to improve in all aspects and the interest in the Formula 1® World Championship.
Last October, the Circuit’s Strategic Plan was presented, which provided the venue with a new roadmap to face the challenges and demands of the present and the future. A new Circuit was launched, expanding its frontiers towards diverse activities, emphasising green mobility, innovation and digitalisation, and allocating resources in the continuous improvement of its facilities, both on and off the track.

The Black Friday promotion has also offered two-wheel fans the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP™ (1-3 September) at a discount. From now on, Formula 1® and MotoGP™ tickets are available at the final retail price and some usual discounts such as Junior and Senior, Youth Card or RACC member discounts.
In addition to these two Grands Prix, the Circuit has already confirmed the presence of a third World Championship, the WorldSBK (5-7 May), and is finalising the details of a 2023 calendar with the best international and national motorsport competitions.
